National Holistic Institute (NHI) necessitated simultaneously expanding their portfolio locations throughout the Bay Area while consolidating its headquarters in Emeryville, California. NHI desired to acquire a headquarters facility in Emeryville to house all of its employees and students and also conduct a renewal vs. relocation analysis to ensure they were making the right decision. NHI had never owned commercial real estate before.
Equistone Partners secured a satellite campus location in San Jose with the assistance of local brokers in the submarket. We spearheaded the acquisition of a new campus building, assisted in the negotiation of partnership agreements/lease agreements and conducted the interview process for an equity-partner and developer-partner. We coordinated interviews with project managers and general contractors. NHI is slated to commence construction on their project in Emeryville 1st quarter of 2008.
